The Road Haulage Association, RAC, Fuelcard Company, and Freight Transport Association are all joining in to help keep pressure on the government. They are hoping with enough pressure the government will forego the increase on fuel duty for a few more months, if not permanently.

There are many working on the government to keep pressure on the body. They hope to make it known that by stopping the increase it could mean a better stimulated economy, as well as fair practise with regards to petrol and diesel costs.

Until a decision is made companies can always use a fuel card to lower their costs at the pump. It may not cover all of the increases at the pump, but a card that helps lower fuel is better than doing nothing. A company could save up to 10p per litre on every vehicle they have with the right card.

There are simply plenty of cards to choose from, so it does not make sense to ignore the products on the market. Instead, one should take advantage of the savings, especially until a distinction can be made with regards to the fuel duty.
